Biogas Construction at Correctional Facility, Ikoyi, Lagos
International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) commissioned Samprec as the supervising consultants for the biogas (Anaerobic Baffle Reactor) systems project at Medium Security Custodial Centre at Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. Samprec managed design, construction, and operation of biogas (Anaerobic Baffle Reactor) systems at Medium Security Custodial Centre at Ikoyi, Lagos. This project is one of the ICRC interventions in Nigeria towards increasing hygiene within facilities and thereby makes rehabilitation roles of the custodian centres better.

This pioneering approach significantly enhanced waste management and sustainability, leading to notable reduction in open defecation, improved sanitation standards, greater adoption of renewable energy, and substantial cost savings in waste management and energy consumption.
